Some watches win you over with loud colors or a busy dial. The S139, our new 39mm automatic, takes a quieter route: it lets the light do the talking.
Its dial pairs two finishes, a sunburst center inside a ring of fine concentric grooves, and each one catches the light in its own way. Turn your wrist and the dial shifts from deep to bright and back again.
Everything around it is kept deliberately simple: a 316L steel case, a clean no-date layout and a three-link bracelet. The essentials are covered too, with a Seagull ST2130 automatic movement, a sapphire crystal and 100m of water resistance. It's an original Milifortic design, made to be easy to like and easy to wear every day.

The dial: two finishes, one clean layout
The dial is built in two zones: a sunburst center disc and an outer ring cut with fine concentric grooves. The two never reflect light quite the same way. On the black dial the effect is subtle and textured; on the red, the color deepens toward the edge into a smoky gradient.
The hour markers are applied, not printed: faceted, tapered indices inlaid with C3 lume, plus a doubled marker at 12 to anchor the eye. The faceted hour and minute hands are lumed as well. A slim seconds hand travels over a printed minute track with five-minute numerals.
There's no date window, so the layout stays symmetrical. The Milifortic name sits at 12, with “Automatic” and “WR 100M” at 6.
Five colors, in steel or two-tone
The AD39S139 comes in two versions and five dial colors.
Stainless steel (S139), with silver-tone hands and indices:
- Black: the most versatile of the five. The grooved outer ring keeps it from ever looking flat.
- White: a crisp silver-white that reads clean and bright, and dresses up easily.
- Blue: a vivid sunburst blue that comes alive in daylight.
Two-tone (S139G), with a gold-tone bezel, crown, hands, indices and center bracelet links:
- Red: a deep sunburst red that darkens toward the edge. The boldest of the five.
- Green: a classic match for the warm gold-tone accents, with a slightly vintage feel.
Case and bracelet

At 39mm across, 47.5mm lug to lug and about 10.25mm thick, the AD39S139 sits in the sweet spot for an everyday watch. At about 144g on the bracelet it feels substantial, yet slips easily under a shirt cuff.
The 316L stainless steel case mixes finishes: brushed on top, polished along the flanks, with a polished bevel framing the smooth bezel. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating keeps the dial clear and resists scratches. A screw-down crown etched with our logo and a screw-down caseback give it 100m (10 ATM) of water resistance.
The three-link stainless steel bracelet is fully brushed and closes with a 316L stainless steel double push-button folding clasp, also etched with our logo. On the two-tone S139G, the center links are gold-tone to match the bezel and crown. With 20mm lugs, switching to leather, rubber or a NATO strap is easy.
Seagull ST2130 inside
The AD39S139 runs on the Seagull ST2130 automatic, made by Tianjin Seagull, the company behind China's first wristwatch in 1955. Similar in design to the Swiss ETA 2824-2, it beats at 28,800 vph for a smooth seconds sweep. It offers hacking seconds and hand-winding, with a power reserve of around 40 hours.
Here it's set up without a date, showing hours, minutes and seconds. That's what keeps the dial so clean.
